    Thats really cool! …
Thats really cool! Way to show God is your number one! The generation after “one way” is now “not of this world” and they have NOTW stickers all over their cars and guitars. I think its really cool that the young generation is still enthusiastic about God!

    I so appreciate the …
I so appreciate the depth and sincerity of this song/prayer. It sums up so many truths in such a succint but not reductionist or over-simplistic way. He captures the essence and the tension of the relationship between a disciple and their lord.

    When I was growing …
When I was growing up I listened to follks like Keith Green, Twila Paris, Sandi Patti, Steve Green and now people dont know who they are….what a shame….the words are true in any generation. I can sit and still listen to this music for hours. AMEN THANK YOU LORD that we live in a country where we can share our faith so openly. Help us to shine a light in a dark and dying world.

My girlfriend took me to see Keith Green in a solo piano concert in a little chapel at Southern California Bible College in Costa Mesa. It was in early 1978. I remember how intense and serious he was. He was annointed!!!

shameless plug here, but in the video response, I do this song in sign language. If you know anyone who is learning ASL or anything like that, pass it on to them. Check it out yourself, too :)

On a serious side, though, the first time I heard this song was not that long ago. The more I discover of Keith Green the more he serves to push me along the path God has called me to walk – being a light to a world in darkness. Blessed by Keith and how God has used his music in my life.

    He takes one beyond …
He takes one beyond the dry mythology of American Christianty and it’s tentacles of fictious self-aggrandizing doctrine to where “rubber meets the road.” Don’t allow the tentacles to grab you yet again when the song finishes. Don’t allow the song to finish in your soul and ignore the words of those who want nothing more than to build their own thiefdom!

The feelings and the worship in singing is so healing. I don’t know anyone’s voice that ministers to me like his used to. Maybe it was the time when I first heard his voice and testimony. I remember. What a blessing God uses Keith still.

    Keith loved to put …
Keith loved to put Scripture to music. That is why it is so powerful. He was in love with His Saviour, Jesus, he lived by faith (not by sight) , he was filled with the Holy Spirit and he called his heavenly Father, Abba.
Oh that we would all follow suit.
    Oh Lord you’re beautiful…always! Amen!
